What an amazing weekend! For 2 full days the library hosted a sale at the local fairgrounds. The deals were amazing: $1 paperbacks, $2 hardcovers and oversize. Used library books, donated new and used books all being sold to help fund various branches of the public library.

Row, upon row, upon row of all types of literature. There truly was something for everyone …

Talk about tempting! I really wanted to stay and browse all day, especially when volunteers kept bringing in boxes of books to add to the tables. I felt like I was going to miss out on a treasure by taking only one pass at each table.

  1. Very cool. I’d imagine you could get some awesome bargains or even some books that are hard to get a hold of in the shops. I originally started romance reading when I was a teenager with historical romances by Jude Deveraux and Julie Garwood. I gave them all away…so sad. I wouldn’t mind getting some of them again, but I don’t think they come in book form anymore only ebooks.

    1. There were definitely a few harder to find books. Most weren’t in the best shape, unfortunately. But if you can’t find it anywhere else, I think it’s worth it. Hoping this is an annual event.
