Review: Art & Soul by Brittainy Cherry

ART & SOUL

Brittainy Cherry

BLURB

I had always been the invisible art student in high school.
Passed by. Glossed over. Unnoticed.
Now I was Aria Watson…that girl.

After one bad decision, and being labeled a slut, I was no longer unseen. I was the whore. The ignoramus. The tramp.

I would never be invisible again.
Particularly to Levi Myers. He was the odd boy with the beautiful soul who accepted and understood the broken girl inside me.

Falling in love wasn’t the plan. But how could I resist his promises of hope? Of forgiveness? Of a future I had stopped dreaming of?

We were shattered. We were scarred. We were something strange and beautiful.
We were two lost souls holding on to the only thing that could keep us together.

Each other.

Art & Soul stole my heart! So many things to love about this book. I’ve owned this book for 5 years and hadn’t read it yet. What was I waiting for? I have no clue but I’m glad I rectified that.

The story centers around 2 high schoolers who each are going through some major life changes. Levi happens to be the new kid in school whose dad is known as the town’s jerk. Aria is the artsy girl who pretty much goes unnoticed by her classmates. They find her to be odd and not worth their time.

Their friendship was life. I think everyone desires their own Levi. He was such a great guy.

Art & Soul is filled with so many great quotes. When I heard this one I got puppy eyes listening to it.
“He gave me a half smile. I gave him the other half.”
First off, I was already getting emotional because of the scene that quote belongs to that when heard it it was like icing on the cake. So good.

Don’t be like me and let this book sit on your kindle for 5 years. READ IT!
