DRAGONFLY

BLURB

Falling in love changes everything…

Anna Sanders expected an anonymous (and uneventful) senior year until she crossed paths with rich-and-sexy Jack Kyser and his twin sister Lucy.

Pulling Anna into their extravagant lifestyle on the Gulf Coast, Lucy pushed Anna outside her comfort zone, and Jack showed her feelings she’d never experienced… Until he mysteriously withdrew.

Anna turned to her internship at the city paper and to her old attraction for Julian, a handsome local artist and rising star, for distraction. But both led to her discovery of a decades-old secret closely guarded by the twins’ distant, single father.

A secret that could permanently change all their lives.

A full-length New Adult contemporary romance, family saga.

★★★

A sweet and endearing story with tons of mystery!

After her best friend moves away, seventeen year old Anna Sanders is left to wallow in her loneliness. Having few friends and not entirely acclimated with the social scene, Anna’s days are looking fairly bleak…until her intriguing run-in with Jack and Lucy—the enigmatic and filthy rich Kyser twins.

When Anna meets Jack, she is drawn to him with a magnetic-like pull. Jack is sexy and mysterious, and intensely attracted to Anna–but he harbors a huge secret which keeps his affections at bay. In fact, he’s made it quite clear that he cannot be with Anna as he repeatedly denies her requests….too bad his actions contradict him at every turn.

He was a bad drug that left me craving more even when it hurt me.

To pile on to the excitement, Anna’s gorgeous and attentive artist friend Julian starts showing sudden interest as he begins pursuing her as well. Julian is a total sweetheart with one hell of a sexy side. What’s a girl to do?

With his shaggy, dark locks and rock-star swagger, Julian could pass anywhere—and he seemed at ease everywhere.

I really enjoyed the element of mystery that was generously woven into this book. The writing is wonderful and really pulled me into the story. Anna’s character was fun and truly a breath of fresh air…not to mention, possessed some kick-ass Nancy Drew skills! Although this is a YA-Mature, it had some seriously sexy little make out scenes and some of the sweetest kisses ever! There is a shimmer of a love triangle, but it is in no way deceitful, or one that becomes over-the-top.

Dragonfly is book one of a series, so this story does leave off on quite the cliffhanger. My jaw figuratively hit the ground after the last page was swiped! There are still many unanswered questions and a bucket load of mystery that I cannot wait to get to the bottom of in Undertow! (Which is now available for purchase)
