Review: Fairytale Kisses by Kim Bailey

FAIRYTALE KISSES

(Here & Now #2)

Kim Bailey

BLURB

A hopeless romantic.
A disheartened cynic.
An unforgettable kiss.

Caleb Anderson believes in fairy tales. At least, he wants to.
Despite battling cancer, defeating death, and an overprotective family, he believes in promises of forever, enchanted encounters, and love at first sight. He knows his perfect girl is out there ā€¦
If only he could find her.

Zadie Fisher doesnā€™t believe in love. At least, she doesnā€™t want to.
Despite undeniable attraction, second chances, and resurrected hope, she doesnā€™t believe in soulmates, true love, or happily ever after. Not anymore. She knows falling in love is a mistake ā€¦
If only she could avoid it.

But fate has a funny way of twisting things, and some mistakes are destined to be made.

Most fairy tales start with Once Upon A Time …
This one starts with a kiss.

Wow, another wonderful book by one of my closest book friends. Itā€™s a surreal experience to read something your friend wrote. Good job, Kim!! I’m so happy you’re making your writing dreams a reality.

A little twist to the typical romance story where the guy is older pursuing someone his age or younger. Our heroine,Ā Zadie, is not quite a decade older than our hero,Ā Caleb. She’s unsure of dating a younger guy. If you’ve readĀ Complex KissesĀ you already know that Caleb fancies older women. He originally had his eye on the heroine of Complex Kisses. In that story he was underage and she only saw him as a friend. Now, inĀ Fairytale KissesĀ Caleb is a man and his connection with Zadie has him feeling something more with her. Like most women in this situation, Zadie feels self-conscious about dating a younger guy.

MORE THAN WHAT MEETS THE EYE

Fairytale Kisses has more than just a younger guy trying to convince an older woman to give him a chance. Thereā€™s another reason Zadie is hesitant to let her heart believe that Caleb could be her ā€˜happily ever after.ā€™ Of course, Iā€™m not going to ruin that tidbit about what else has Zadie trying to deny that this relationship will work.

FAIRYTALE KISSESĀ is the second book in theĀ Here & NowĀ series.Ā It can be read as a standalone.Ā No prior knowledge is needed to enjoy this book. Lovers of a sweet, all around good guy pursuing the girl who doesnā€™t feel she deserves love will be enamored with this romance. A story for the romantics at heart.
