Rating someone’s personal story is always a weird feeling. So, I’m refraining from giving this book any stars. But I can say this isn’t one of my favorite autobiographies I’ve read in the last few months.
Demi’s story is similar to the last few autobiographies I’ve read, in the fact, their childhood was crappy and chaotic. What Demi experienced in those formative years shaped how she entered into adulthood. She made some poor decisions that ultimately left her spiraling downhill from her family. In the end, she came out of it a stronger person who was able to share her side of the story.
This is her battle book. Where she wrestles with her past and comes to terms with where she went wrong.
In 2019 I saw Demi on The Ellen Show talking about this book and it piqued my interest.
