An utterly laugh-out-loud book. JOSH AND HAZEL’S GUIDE TO NOT DATING is a quirky romance about an out of the box character paired with a straightlaced one.
Hazel dances to her own beat. Like her mother, she doesn’t let what society thinks a woman should behave like dictate her actions. “I realize that finding the perfect person isn’t going to be easy for me because I’m a lot to take,” she says, “but I’m not going to change just so that I’m more datable.”
Josh is more reserved in his actions. He wants to be a good Korean son who makes his parents proud.
These two meet in college but it isn’t until they are reunited years later did they become fast friends. Since they’re both single they come up with a plan to fix each other up with other people. That becomes one giant, funny mess with all the mishaps that they incur.
Okay, I must state, I’m a little biased about liking this book. The setting is my home state and that always gets a thumbs up from me. Hazel is born where I live. And her and Josh live 2 hours north of here. My heart has a special place for books that take place in my beautiful state.
JOSH AND HAZEL’S GUIDE TO NOT DATING is a standalone set in Oregon. A humorous tale of two unlikely people who find their way from fixing each other up on blind double dates to realizing what they’re looking for is standing right in front of them. Christina Lauren fans will love this book. Dare I say, it might be the best, so far, from this writing duo. Don’t miss out – get your laugh on and read it.
