The only obstacle is his intended’s older sister, Kate Sheffield–the most meddlesome woman ever to grace a London ballroom. The spirited schemer is driving Anthony mad with her determination to stop the betrothal, but when he closes his eyes at night, Kate’s the woman haunting his increasingly erotic dreams…

Contrary to popular belief, Kate is quite sure that reformed rakes to not make the best husbands–and Anthony Bridgerton is the most wicked rogue of them all. And when Anthony’s lips touch hers, she’s suddenly afraid she might not be able to resist the reprehensible rake herself…

Enemies to lovers!

Anthony is looking for a respectable lady to marry. He doesn’t want to fall in love because he assumes he’s destined to die young just like his father did. He wants a wife to bear him children and he’ll leave her well cared for once he’s passed on.

Kate has a younger half-sister who she adores. Since Kate is on the older end of ‘ marrying age’ she has decided she will focus on finding the perfect gentleman for her sister.

On his search for a wife, Anthony decides he’ll court Kate’s younger sister. Unfortunately for Anthony, he has to gain Kate’s approval and she is against her sister dating him since he has a reputation of being a rake. The sparks fly between Anthony and Kate as they battle over if he can court her sister.
