**3.5 IF I STAY stars**I’ve been excited to read IF I STAY ever since I found out it takes place in Oregon and was being made into a movie.The trailers looks like an entertaining family movie or should I say a family movie for families with older teens. My teens have been forced to watch the movie trailers with me and experience me getting all chocked up over the emotional decisions this teen girl must face as she battles to stay alive.

I’m the type of person who reads the book and then sees the movie. I feel like the book is usually better than the movie. I’m feeling like, in this case, the movie may be better than the book,for me at least.

While I liked this one, I didn’t connect with it like I wanted to. I really wanted to be immersed in the story and feel every heartbreaking nuance this emotional journey had to offer. But sadly that didn’t happen and the only time I felt an emotional connection was with Adam at the very end of the story. I am, however, looking forward to watching the movie with my teens and bringing lots of tissues to dab our eyes (or maybe just my eyes).
