When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.
Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success—his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family—Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark desires.
This book is intended for mature audiences.
I’m only admitting this here because this is the ONLY place that would understand my desire to re-read a book…this latest reading was my 6th time. *gasp* ✦In the Spring and Summer of 2012 I read FSOG 4 times. ✦Spring of 2013 I read it with KC and Monika! ✦This time (Sept. 2014) I listened to the audio in preparation of the movie coming out next year. Even though, I’ve read this a bunch of times, I still love Mr. Grey. Each time, I read it, I wish it was my first time so I could feel all those “first” again!!
✻What can I say about Christian Grey that hasn’t already been said.✻
He’s a man after Ana’s heart who makes her feel like she is the only woman in the whole world. As a super controlling, alpha male he is determined to attend to all of Ana’s needs.
Even though Ana knows Christian has a dark pass that needs healing she wants more from him. She determined to be the one to nurture him.
Below is how I picture CG. Despite the movie releasing next year and not picking Ian Somerhalder for CG I’m still sticking to this as my CG.
