I thought Hearts of Fire would be good BUT it was on fire!! A great combo of romance, steaminess and storyline.
I first heard about Jack in Six of Hearts as the presumed dead brother. To learn that he wasn’t dead and was getting his own book was the BEST NEWS OF THE DAY. I knew it was a MUST read book because I needed to know about this unknown brother.
WOW! Jay’s brother, Jack, is a fire-breathing, knife-throwing, risk-taking eccentric performer. When he takes center stage the crowd knows they are in for an astounding performance.
The circus has come to town and after watching the show Lille feels the pull to be part of it. She runaways and joins them. Jack tried to warn her to stay away because the allure of it isn’t what it seems. Of course, she doesn’t heed his warning and he end ups taking it upon himself to watch her from afar to assure her safety. As he told her before, “It’s dangerous out here for women on their own.”
Each time I think I’ve read the best book by Ms. Cosway I’m blown away by yet another gem. All the while, I was reading this book, I wanted to pack my bags and hitch a ride to the circus. The chance of meeting a man like Jack is a huge drawn for my new desire to be a circus performers. Jack may be a broken man, who feels a deep loneliness, but at the core of his being he’s a man wanting to be loved.
When I got to the end of the book I was happy to find out King, side character who I had been intrigued by, was getting his very own book. YAY! Another standalone romance from this series.
Hearts of Fire is spektakular and has the key elements that make Ms. Cosway’s books stand above the rest: the arts, flawless writing, and marred characters. ♥ Loved it ♥

1. Boxers or briefs?
*Long silence, arches brow* Not sure why you’d want to know that, but the answer is boxers.
2. Which competition tv show would you be on and why? (Penn & Teller tell a Lie, Big Brother, American Ninja Warrior, Survivor, Amazing Race, etc…)
Uh, I don’t watch a lot of TV. American Ninja Warrior sounds…interesting. I think I could definitely win that shit. I’d give those Yanks a run for their money.
3. What was going on in your mind when you threw knives at Lille?
I was thinking that I liked how she looked all strapped up and completely at my mercy. The rest I’ll leave to your imagination.
4. For your poi and belly dancing classes were they group or private classes? If group classes were you the only guy?
*clears throat* They were group classes, and yeah, I was the only bloke. Admittedly, not my finest hour but it was a necessary evil. The technical aspect of fire breathing came easy to me, but I needed to learn how to perform. So…I took the classes. I’m just glad there aren’t any pictures.
5. Lille had a bucket list that she was trying to complete… if you had a bucket list what would be your top 3 items on it?
Get into the Guinness Book of World Records for fire breathing.
Go storm chasing.
Perform with my brother in the Coliseum in Rome.
