I have to start off by saying I just finished binge-watching The Circle, season 2 and one of the people on there is named, River. So, every time I heard the name River (hero) in this book the image below is what popped into my head. *lol*
River is a football star and the president of his fraternity. When one of his brothers from the fraternity needs help winning the pretty girl in the library River is there to help. He tells him what to say in a note to her. Ana is that girl and when she gets the note she hopes the anonymous letter is actually from River but it turns out to be his frat brother.
While no love story comes without some angst this one has an extra dose of it. Ana is with the wrong guy. And even if River wanted to date her he can’t because she’s already in a committed relationship. Even if that relationship isn’t an ideal one – one major downfall is it’s controlled by the guy’s rich parents.

I’m not sure what this style of series is called but I really love the concept – 3 interconnected books written by 3 different authors. This is my first series like this but I hope to find more done in this format.
