Best of 2017 + international paperback #giveaway

It’s that time of year again.

Time to say goodbye 2017! Hello 2018!

Let’s take a look back at our favorites of this year.

Kim’s favorite 2017 reads:

Undeserving by Madeline Sheehan
This book … oh my word … this f’ing book!
Madeline Sheehan writes with such eloquence; there were times I forgot I was reading a fictional story. The atmosphere, the feelings, the true depth of her words … amazing.
I loved this story. It was more than worth the wait.

Vicious by LJ Shen
Is it wrong to be in love with an asshole? Vicious sunk his teeth in, deep, and I loved every minute of it.

Drive by Kate Stewart
This book is my favorite Kate Stewart book to date. I had a hard time when real life interrupted and forced me to put it down. MUST READ!!!

The Unrequited by Saffron A. Kent
What’s better than a book that makes you think, challenges your boundaries, makes you cry, makes you sigh, makes you want to find a partner and F*@k like animals … all while making you want–no, NEED–to flip to the next page with reckless abandon?
Nothing. There is nothing better.
This book is on my short-list for best of the year. All other books have their work cut out for them.

The Darkest Sunrise / The Brightest Sunset duet by Aly Martinez
LOVED

Amy’s favorite 2017 reads:

Grip / Still by Kennedy Ryan
AMAZING! I’m at a lost for words.  This series blew me away.  You’ll want a man like Grip for yourself and you’ll want to be as strong of a female as Bristol. Those two are who society should strive to be more like.

An Exaltation of Larks by Suanne Laqueur
It’s a beautifully written story that will have you thinking about things beyond yourself. At times I was angry at the characters and at other times I just wanted to hug them and say, “Everything is going to be alright.” The interweaving of the two storylines into one was done remarkably. For those who love stories that leave you thinking about them long after you close the book, you’ll want to read this one.

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
I really loved Starr’s family and her interactions with them felt authentic. Each character was flawed and how they handled the cards they were dealt was inspiring. No one had it easy but in each situation, they strived to be better and do better.

Caraval by Stephanie Garber
The fantasy world created in this book was captivating and enthralling. The plot was mesmerizing and unique, it involved two sisters and their voyage to a magical place known as Caraval to escape their cruel father.

The Learning Hours by Sara Ney
What an unexpected surprise to find out that the douchebag in this story wasn’t the hero but the heroine. THE HEROINE IS THE DOUCHEBAG! She was very mean girl early on in the story. I didn’t care for her at all. But like all redeemable douchebags, they start to become enlightened by their shallowness and become more likable.

Soul’s Fire by Susan Fanetti
SOUL’S FIRE is a story that won’t let you go. I’ve been thinking about it non-stop. At the amount of feels I’m having since I finished Soul’s Fire I might transport myself back into the Viking Age and become a Shieldmaiden. Actually, that’s not true. Soul’s Fire had some pretty brutal and savage scenes. I know I’m not cut from the same cloth as a shieldmaiden to handle that kind of treatment.

The Golden Dynasty by Kristen Ashley
My favorite Kristen Ashley book to date!!!
If you’re a fan of GAME OF THRONES love story between Daenerys and Khal Drogo then this story is for you!!! This is how I pictured their love story had Khal Drogo stayed on the show longer.

The Queen and the Cure by Amy Harmon
Their love story was one filled with longing, heartache and a deeper connection. Each trial they faced strengthened their bond and created an intense undeniable attachment. I was 100% shipping this couple. Even though it’s been a week since I’ve read this story I’m still suffering from a book hangover. My heart is still with Sasha & Kjell. I loved this book.
