GETTING PLAYED

(Getting Some, #2)

Emma Chase

BLURB

A magnificent new romance by New York Times bestselling author Emma Chase.

Dean Walker is all about keeping life simple. He’s effortlessly talented and intelligent—spending his summers playing drums in the local band and the rest of the year teaching high school in the same Jersey town where he grew up. He likes his love life simple too, enjoying the commitment-free hook-ups his good looks and sexy charm have always made oh so easy.

Then he meets Lainey Burrows. And his simple, easy life gets turned upside down.

One wild one-night stand was all it was ever supposed to be, so Lainey is shocked when she discovers that her sizzling summer fling is also her son’s new math teacher. But that’s nothing compared to the most unexpected twist of all—their hot hook-up left Lainey knocked up, and now they’re about to become parents. Together.

What ensues is an addictive, insatiable, sweet and tender romance that won’t be simple, but it will be more than worth the fight.

★★★★★

YEP! YEP! YEP!!! This book hits the spot! I fell in love with these characters!

Lainey is a single mom who has a teenage son. This mother-son duo is both sweet and endearing.

Lainey comes from a big family – all girls. While out with one of her sisters Lainey meets one of the sexiest drummer ever, Dean. He’s playing in a band that is sort of low key. Only during the summer months does the band perform.

A scorching hot one-night stand leaves these two wishing they had exchanged numbers. Unfortunately, afterwards, they realize that neither one knows how to contact the other.

I’m going to stop there because finding out how they later run into each other and what pursues thereafter adds to the fun of this love story.

GETTING PLAYED is the second book in the Getting Some series and can be read as a standalone. The author, Ms. Chase, has a hypnotic way of making a love story addicting. I could not stop listening to this audio. I even had my headphones on when I went to bed last night. Unfortunately, the sleep mode didn’t turn off after half an hour and this morning I had to try to figure out where I left off. LISTEN TO THIS BOOK!!
